Prohibition of demanding divorce, a woman seeking khula from her husband, and pronouncing zihar

Prohibition of Demanding Divorce​


① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
أيما امرأة سألت زوجها الطلاق من غير ما بأس فحرام عليها رائحة الجنة
"Whoever a woman demands divorce from her husband without any valid reason, even the fragrance of Paradise is forbidden for her."

Prohibition of a Woman Taking Khula from Her Husband​


① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
أيما امرأة اختلعت من زوجها من غير بأس لم ترح رائحة الجنة
"Whoever a woman takes khula from her husband without any valid reason, she will not even attain the fragrance of Paradise."

And it is also narrated from him that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
إن المختلعات هن المنافقات
"Those who take khula are hypocrites."

Prohibition of Zihar​


① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Tamimah Jahni رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم heard a man calling his wife "my dear sister," and he disliked it and forbade him from doing so.
