This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili's Arabic book Al-Awamir wal-Nawahi, which has been translated into Urdu by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
① Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما narrates from the Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, who said:
لا يزني الزاني حين يزني وهو مؤمن، ولا يسرق حين يسرق وهو مؤمن
"When a fornicator commits fornication, he is not a believer, and when a thief steals, he is not a believer."

② Sayyiduna Haitham bin Malik Tai رضي الله عنه narrates from the Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, who said:
ما من ذنب بعد الشرك أعظم عند الله من نطفة وضعها رجل فى رحم لا يحل له
"After shirk (associating partners with Allah), the greatest sin with Allah is that a person lets his semen drop in a private part which is not lawful for him (commits fornication)."

③ Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Masood رضي الله عنه states that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم was asked: Which sin is the greatest? He said:
أن تجعل لله ندا وهو خلقك
"That you associate partners with Allah while He created you."
The narrator says, I asked: Then what? He said:
أن تقتل ولدك خشية أن يطعم معك
"That you kill your child for fear that it will eat with you."
The narrator says, I asked: Then what? He said:
أن تزاني حليلة جارك
"That you commit fornication with your neighbor’s wife."
And in confirmation of this statement of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, this verse was revealed:
﴿وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ ﴾
"And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity and do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden except by right and do not commit zina."

④ Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه states that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
ثلاثة لا ينظر الله إليهم ولا يزكيهم ولهم عذاب أليم: شيخ زان، وملك كذاب، وعائل مستكبر
"Allah will not look at three persons, nor will He purify them, and for them is a painful punishment: an old fornicator, a lying king, and a proud poor person."

⑤ Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه states, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
إذا زنى الرجل خرج منه الإيمان
"When a man commits fornication, faith leaves him."
And in another narration:
إذا زنى الرجل خرج منه الإيمان فكان فوق رأسه كالظلة، فإذا خرج من ذٰلك العمل عاد إليه الإيمان
"When a man commits fornication, faith leaves him and becomes like a shade over his head. When he finishes that act, faith returns to him."

⑥ Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates from the Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, who said:
كتب على ابن آدم نصيبه من الزنا يدرك ذٰلك لا محالة، فالعينان زناهما النظر، والأذنان زناهما الاستماع، واللسان زناه الكلام، واليدان زناهما البطش، والرجلان زناهما الخطى، والقلب يهوى ويتمنى، ويصدق ذٰلك الفرج أو يكذبه
"The son of Adam has a share of fornication which he will inevitably acquire: the fornication of the eyes is looking, the fornication of the ears is listening, the fornication of the tongue is speaking, the fornication of the hands is touching, the fornication of the feet is walking, while the heart desires and wishes, and the private parts confirm or deny."

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
من عقد عقدة ثم نفث فيها فقد سحر، ومن سحر فقد أشرك، ومن تعلق بشيء وكل إليه
"Whoever ties a knot and then blows on it has practiced magic, and whoever practices magic has committed shirk (associating partners with Allah), and whoever hangs something (around the neck or elsewhere) for protection or safety will be handed over to it."

② It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
من اقتبس بابا من علم النجوم بغير ما ذكره الله فقد اقتبس شعبة من السحر، والمنجم كاهن، والكاهن ساحر، والساحر كافر
"Whoever learns a branch of astrology which Allah has not mentioned, he has acquired a branch of magic. An astrologer (one who determines the conditions of the universe from the movement of stars) is a soothsayer, and a soothsayer is a magician, and a magician is a disbeliever."

③ It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
اجتنبوا السبع الموبقات
"Avoid seven destructive things."
It was asked: O Messenger of Allah! What are they? He (peace be upon him) said:
الشرك والسحر...
"Associating partners with Allah and magic."

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضی اللہ عنہما that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم recited the command of Allah Almighty:
﴿وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوْعِدُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ لَهَا سَبْعَةُ أَبْوَابٍ لِّكُلِّ بَابٍ مِّنْهُمْ جُزْءٌ مَّقْسُومٌ﴾
“Indeed, Hell is the promised place for them all; it has seven gates, and for every gate is a portion designated.”

And the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
باب منها لمن سل السيف على أمتي - أو قال: أمة محمد
“One of these (seven gates) is for the person who drew the sword against my Ummah (or you said: against the Ummah of Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم).”

② It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salmah bin Aku' رضی اللہ عنہ that the Noble Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
من سل علينا السيف فليس منا
“Whoever draws the sword against us is not from us.”
