This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal Nawaahi, whose Urdu translation has been done by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamaat o Mamnooat.
① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما that on the day of the Conquest of Makkah, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم delivered a sermon to the people:
يا أيها الناس إن الله قد أذهب عنكم عبية الجاهلية وتعاظمها بآبائها، إنما الناس رجلان: بر تقي كريم على الله تعالى، وفاجر شقي هين على الله عز وجل، الناس كلهم بنو آدم، وخلق الله تعالى آدم من تراب. قال الله تعالى:
﴿يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنثَىٰ - إِلَى قَوْلِهِ - عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ﴾
“O people! Allah has ended the arrogance of ignorance and the greatness and pride of forefathers among you. People are only of two kinds: a righteous, pious person who is honored in the sight of Allah Almighty, and a wicked, miserable person who is extremely lowly in the sight of Allah عزوجل. All people are the offspring of Adam (peace be upon him), and Allah Almighty created Adam (peace be upon him) from clay. Allah Almighty said:
O people! Indeed We have created you from a male and a female.

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
إن أبغضكم إلى وأبعدكم مني مجلسا يوم القيامة الثرثارون والمتشدقون
"The most disliked by me among you and the ones who will be the farthest from me on the Day of Resurrection are those who talk excessively and are very talkative."

① Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما narrates that when the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ascended the pulpit, he said loudly:
يا معشر من قد أسلم بلسانه ولم يفض الإيمان إلى قلبه لا تؤذوا المسلمين ولا تعيروهم ولا تتبعوا عوراتهم فإن من تتبع عورة أخيه المسلم تتبع الله عورته، ومن تتبع الله عورته يفضحه ولو فى جوف رحله
"O people! Whoever has declared Islam with his tongue but faith has not reached his heart, do not harm the Muslims, do not disgrace them, and do not pursue their faults and defects, because whoever pursues the faults of his Muslim brother, Allah will pursue his faults, and whoever Allah pursues for his faults, He will disgrace him even if he is on his mount."

② Sayyiduna Abu Burzah Aslami رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
يا من آمن بلسانه ولم يدخل الإيمان فى قلبه لا تغتابوا المسلمين ولا تتبعوا عوراتهم فإنه من اتبع عوراتهم تتبع الله عورته ومن يتبع الله عورته يفضحه فى بيته
"O you who have declared faith with your tongue while faith has not entered your heart! Do not backbite the Muslims nor pursue their faults, because whoever pursues their faults, Allah will pursue his faults, and whoever Allah pursues for his faults, He will disgrace him in his own home."

③ It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم forbade a person from coming to his family at night to find out about any treachery or weakness of theirs.

① Sayyiduna Mu'adh رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
من عير أخاه بذنب لم يمت حتى يعمله
"Whoever shames his (Muslim) brother for any sin, that person will surely commit that act before he dies."
Imam Ahmad رحمه الله states: "The one who committed the sin had repented from it."
Reference: Tirmidhi, Book of the Description of the Resurrection, Softening of Hearts, and Piety 2505, its chain is not continuous, Khalid bin Ma'dan did not meet Mu'adh bin Jabal رضي الله عنه.
② Sayyiduna Jabir رضي الله عنه narrates, I said: O Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم! Advise me. Then he narrated a long hadith and at the end said:
وإن امرؤ شتمك أو عيرك بما يعلم فيك فلا تعيره بما تعلم فيه فإنما وبال ذلك عليه
"If a man insults you or shames you for some weakness of yours which he knows about, do not shame him for what you know about him, for the burden will be on him."
