❀ Preferring Any Philosophy or System Over the Guidance of the Prophet ﷺ

◈ Fundamental Belief and Its Contradiction

– Whoever holds the belief that any way of life or system is better than the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, or that any political system is superior to the prophetic method, has committed disbelief (kufr).

– This contradicts the Book of Allah, the Sunnah, and even sound reason.

❀ The Clear Statement of the Prophet ﷺ

“Indeed, the best speech is the Book of Allah, and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad ﷺ.”
(Sahih Muslim: 868)

❀ Qur’anic Testimony

“وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ، إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَىٰ”
(An-Najm: 3–4)
“He does not speak from desire; it is only revelation that is revealed to him.”

❀ The Comprehensiveness and Sovereignty of the Shari’ah of Muhammad ﷺ

The Sunnah holds equal weight as the Qur’an in legislation.
– The Prophet ﷺ once saw a Torah scroll in the hands of Umar ibn al-Khattab (رضي الله عنه) and said:

“Are you still turning to these books, O son of al-Khattab? By Him in Whose hand is my soul, I have brought you a clear and pure religion.”
(Musnad Ahmad: 14860)

❀ Islam: The Most Complete and Beloved Religion

“The most beloved religion to Allah is the upright and tolerant religion.”
(Sahih al-Jamiʿ: 160, Al-Adab al-Mufrad by Bukhari)

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“By Him in Whose hand is my soul, if Musa (عليه السلام) were alive among you today, and you followed him and abandoned me, you would surely go astray.”
(Sunan al-Darimi: 449)

❀ Islam: A Comprehensive Way of Life

Islam is not confined to acts of worship only; it encompasses:

– Social values
– Economic systems
– Educational and political principles
– Complete governance and state systems

All of these are integral parts of Islam.
Whoever deems any other philosophy or ideology superior in any one of these areas commits kufr.

❀ Qur’anic Confirmation of the Completion of Islam

“This day I have perfected for you your religion, and completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.”
(Al-Ma’idah: 3)

“Whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter, he will be among the losers.”
(Aal-e-Imran: 85)

❀ Preferring Man-Made Laws: An Act of Disbelief

– Whoever abandons the command of Allah and His Messenger ﷺ in favor of systems like:

– Democracy
– Secular laws
– Man-made ideologies

And implements judgments accordingly, is a disbeliever.

📖 Qur’anic Evidence:

“This is a Book which We have revealed to you that you might bring mankind out of darkness into light by the permission of their Lord, to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy.”
(Ibrahim: 1)

❀ Obligation to Prioritize Divine Law

“Have you not seen those who claim to have believed in what was revealed to you and what was revealed before you? They wish to refer to false judges (ṭāghūt) for judgment, although they were commanded to reject them.”
(An-Nisa: 60)

“But no, by your Lord, they will not believe until they make you judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves, and then find in themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in full submission.”
(An-Nisa: 65)

“And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, they are the disbelievers.”
(Al-Ma’idah: 44)

❀ Hatred Toward the Religion: A Sign of Disbelief

“Whoever detests anything brought by the Messenger, even if he acts upon it, has committed disbelief.”

– Hatred of the rulings or actions of the Prophet ﷺ is a sign of hypocrisy and disbelief.

📖 Qur’anic Evidence:

“As for those who disbelieve—destruction is for them, and He will make their deeds worthless. That is because they disliked what Allah revealed, so He rendered their deeds worthless.”
(Surah Muhammad: 8–9)

“That is because they followed what displeased Allah and hated His pleasure, so He made their deeds void.”
(Surah Muhammad: 28)

❀ Practical Examples of Hatred Toward Islam

– Disliking the permission of four marriages
– Viewing women’s stay at home as oppression
– Denying the equivalence of two women’s testimony to one man’s
– Disrespecting authentic Ahadith, such as:

“I have not seen anyone more deficient in intellect and religion who can rob the wisdom of a resolute man than one of you.”
(Bukhari: 304, Muslim: 80)

– Such people may label this Hadith as weak or reject its apparent meaning.

❀ Resentment Toward Islamic Rulings

– Hatred for hijab or veiling
– Discomfort toward the beard
– Calling Jihad terrorism
– Declaring Islamic punishments as uncivilized

All of these attitudes reflect hatred for the Shari’ah and reach the level of disbelief (kufr).

❀ Cautionary Clarification

– If someone criticizes a sectarian interpretation or misuse of religion, it is not kufr.

– However, if someone dislikes the pure Shari’ah itself, then this is kufr.
