The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the women of the Anṣār:
“There is no woman among you whose three children die and she observes patience, except that she will enter Paradise.”
One woman asked: “O Messenger of Allah! Even if two (children die)?”
He ﷺ replied: “Even two.”
Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim – Kitāb al-Birr wa al-Ṣilah: 6698
And in another narration:
“Three children who die before reaching the age of accountability (i.e. puberty).”
I said to Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه:
“Two of my sons have passed away. Will you narrate to me any ḥadīth of the Prophet ﷺ to comfort our hearts regarding our deceased?”
He said:
“Yes. The little ones will roam freely in Paradise. When one of them meets his father — or he said: both parents — he will cling to his garment, or he said: to his hand, just as I am clinging to your garment now. He will not let go until Allah admits him and his father into Paradise.”
Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim – Kitāb al-Birr wa al-Ṣilah: 6701
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Allah says: For My believing servant, I have no reward except Paradise if I take away from him his beloved of this world and he remains patient.”
Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī – Kitāb al-Riqāq: 6424
Note: “Beloved” here refers to a child, sibling, or any dearly loved one.
“No two Muslims whose three children die before reaching maturity, except that Allah will forgive them due to His mercy upon those children.”

A man used to come to the Prophet ﷺ with his son.
The Prophet ﷺ asked:
“Do you love him?”
The man replied:
“May Allah love you as I love him.”
One day the Prophet ﷺ didn’t see the child and asked:
“What happened to that boy?”
They said: “O Messenger of Allah, he passed away.”
The Prophet ﷺ said to the father:
“Would you not love that whenever you reach any gate of Paradise, you find him waiting for you there?”
A man asked:
“O Messenger of Allah! Is this reward for him alone or for all of us?”
The Prophet ﷺ replied:
“It is for all of you.”

“Allah says: O son of Ādam! If you are patient and hope for reward at the first strike of calamity, I am not pleased to reward you with anything less than Paradise.”
Sunan Ibn Mājah – Kitāb al-Janā’iz: 1597
① Losing children is a deeply painful trial, but patience brings the highest reward — Paradise.
② Even the death of two or one child brings immense reward if met with faith and patience.
③ Children who pass before puberty become a means of forgiveness and entry into Paradise for their parents.
④ Children will intercede for their parents, hold their hands, and not rest until they enter Jannah with them, by Allah’s mercy.
