This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal Nawaahi, whose Urdu translation has been done by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamaat o Mamnooat.
① Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saw a man lying on his stomach and said:
إن هذه ضجعة لا يحبها الله
"Allah does not like lying in this manner."

① Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) forbade sleeping on a roof that does not have curtains.

② Abdul Rahman bin Ali bin Shayban narrates from his father that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
من بات على ظهر بيت ليس عليه حجاب - وفي رواية: حجاز - فقد برئت منه الذمة
"Whoever sleeps on the roof of a house at night that has no curtains, the responsibility (of protection) is lifted from him."

① Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
لا يحل للمسلم أن يهجر أخاه فوق ثلاث ليال يلتقيان فيعرض هذا ويعرض هذا وخيرهما الذى يبدأ بالسلام
"It is not permissible for a Muslim to cut off relations with his brother for more than three nights. When they meet, they turn away from each other, and the better of the two is the one who initiates the greeting."

② It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
لا يكون لمسلم أن يهجر مسلما فوق ثلاث، فإذا لقيه سلم عليه ثلاث مرات كل ذلكا لا يرد عليه فقد باء بإثمه
"It is not befitting for a Muslim to sever ties with another Muslim for more than three days. So when they meet, he should greet him three times, and if he does not respond each time, then he is deserving of sin."

③ Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
لا يحل للمسلم أن يهجر مؤمنا فوق ثلاث، فإن مرت به ثلاث فلقيه فليسلم عليه، فإن رد عليه السلام فقد اشتركا فى الأجر، وإن لم يرد عليه فقد باء بإثمه وخرج المسلم من الهجر
"It is not permissible for a Muslim to cut off relations with a believer for more than three days. If three days pass and he meets him and greets him, then if the other person responds to the greeting, both will share in the reward. But if he does not respond to the greeting, then he is deserving of sin, and the Muslim is no longer considered to be in the category of cutting off relations."

④ Abu Khurash (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say:
من هجر أخاه سنة فهو كسفك دمه
"Whoever cuts off relations with his (Muslim) brother for a year is like shedding his blood (equivalent to killing him)."

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لما عرج بي مررت بقوم لهم أظفار من نحاس يخمشون بها وجوههم وصدورهم، فقلت: من هؤلاء يا جبريل؟ قال: هؤلاء الذين يأكلون لحوم الناس ويقعون فى أعراضهم
"When I was taken on the Mi'raj, I passed by some people who had copper nails and were scratching their faces and chests with them. I said: O Jibril! Who are these people? He said: These are the people who used to eat the flesh of others and were intent on damaging their honor."
