No Prophet Between Jesus (AS) and Muhammad (PBUH)

Was Any Prophet Sent Between ʿĪsā (AS) and Muhammad (ﷺ)?

Source: Fatāwā Amanpuri by Shaykh Ghulam Mustafa Zaheer Amanpuri

❖ Question:

Was any prophet sent between Sayyiduna ʿĪsā عليه السلام and Muhammad ﷺ?

❖ Answer:

After the mission of Sayyiduna ʿĪsā عليه السلام, the next Prophet to be sent was Muhammad ﷺ. During this period, no prophet was sent.

Sayyiduna Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reports that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

أنا أولى الناس بابن مريم، والأنبياء أولاد علات، ليس بيني وبينه نبي
I am the closest of all people to the son of Mary (ʿĪsā عليه السلام). The Prophets are paternal brothers. There is no Prophet between me and him.
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī: 3442, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim: 2365)

In the wording of Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim:

ليس بيني وبين عيسى نبي
There is no Prophet between me and ʿĪsā.

This ḥadīth refers to the period from the mission of ʿĪsā عليه السلام until the mission of the Prophet ﷺ. In this interval, no prophet was sent.

Any narration that suggests a prophet was sent between ʿĪsā عليه السلام and Muhammad ﷺ is weak (ḍaʿīf).

✅ Conclusion:
No prophet was sent between Sayyiduna ʿĪsā عليه السلام and Muhammad ﷺ. The authentic narrations are clear and decisive on this matter.
