During Hajj, a menstruating woman (Ha’idh) or a woman in postpartum bleeding (Nufasa’) is required to perform all the rites of Hajj except the Tawaf of the Ka‘bah until she attains purity. The Sa’i between Safa and Marwah is included among the rituals she can perform in her state, since Sa’i is not contingent upon ritual purity if it is not preceded by Tawaf.
‘Aishah (RA) reported:
لما جئنا سرف حضت فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: افعلي ما يفعل الحاج غير أن لا تطوفي بالبيت حتى تطهري
"When we reached Sarif, I began menstruating. The Prophet ﷺ said: ‘Do what the pilgrims do, except do not perform Tawaf of the House until you become pure.’"
[Bulugh al-Maram / Kitab al-Taharah: Hadith 126]
The ruling for a woman in postpartum bleeding is the same as that of a menstruating woman. She can perform all Hajj rituals except Tawaf of the Ka‘bah until she is purified.

Ruling for Postpartum Women
The ruling for a woman in postpartum bleeding is the same as that of a menstruating woman. She can perform all Hajj rituals except Tawaf of the Ka‘bah until she is purified.
- Sa’i is permissible for menstruating or postpartum women if it is done separately from Tawaf, or after they have already performed a Tawaf while in a state of purity.
