Love for the Ansar, prohibition of conveying painful matters, and forbidding enmity towards the Companions

This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi, which was translated into Urdu by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.

Instructions Regarding Love for the Ansar

① Sayyiduna Baraa رضي الله عنه narrates, I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم speaking about the Ansar:
لا يحبهم إلا مؤمن ولا يبغضهم إلا منافق، فمن أحبهم أحبه الله ومن أبغضهم أبغضه الله
"Only a believer will love them and only a hypocrite will harbor hatred against them. So whoever loves them, Allah will love him, and whoever hates them, Allah will hate him."
Reference: Bukhari, Kitab al-Manaqib 3783, Muslim, Kitab al-Iman 75, Tirmidhi, Kitab al-Manaqib 3900.

② Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه narrates, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
إن الإيمان حب الأنصار، وآية النفاق بغض الأنصار
"Love for the Ansar is faith, and hatred for the Ansar is a sign of hypocrisy."
Reference: Bukhari, Kitab al-Manaqib 3784, Muslim, Kitab al-Iman 74, Musnad Ahmad, Baqi Musnad al-Mukathirin 3/130.

Prohibition of Conveying Distressing Matters

① Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud رضي الله عنه narrates, the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
لا يبلغني أحد منكم عن أحد من أصحابي شيئا فإني أحب أن أخرج إليهم وأنا سليم الصدر
"None of you should convey anything about any of my companions to me, because I want that when I come to them, my heart remains free from any kind of displeasure towards them."
Reference: Abu Dawood, Book of Manners 4860.

And in the narration of Tirmidhi Sharif:
لا يبلغني أحد عن أحد شيئا
"None of you should convey anything about anyone to me."
Reference: Tirmidhi, Book of Virtues 3896.

Prohibition of Bearing Grudge Against the Companions

① Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Maghfal رضي الله عنه narrates, I heard the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم say:
الله الله فى أصحابي، الله الله فى أصحابي، لا تتخذوهم غرضا بعدي، فمن أحبهم فبحبي أحبهم ومن أبغضهم فببغضي أبغضهم، ومن آذاهم فقد آذاني ومن آذاني فقد آذى الله، ومن آذى الله يوشك أن يأخذه
"Fear Allah regarding my companions, fear Allah regarding my companions, do not target them after me. Whoever loves them has loved them because of my love, and whoever harbors enmity against them has done so because of his enmity towards me. Whoever harms them has harmed me, and whoever harms me has harmed Allah, and whoever harms Allah, soon Allah will seize him."
Reference: Tirmidhi, Kitab al-Manaqib 3862. Musnad Ahmad, First Musnad of all the Madaniyyin 5/67, Hadith 20574.
