Islamic Solution for Constant Failure and Spiritual Blockages

❖ Question
The questioner states that in 1993 he began a project but has not been able to complete it until now. His intention to work remains firm, but every time he tries, he faces failure.
Some people told him that perhaps magic was done on him, causing his repeated failures. He clarifies that the task he attempts is entirely within Sharʿi limits and free from any unlawful aspects.
He further explains that in 1993 he enrolled in F.Sc (Intermediate) at a college but could not complete it. Around that time, someone told his father:
"When your son does it, then we’ll see."
Since then, he feels as if some invisible force prevents him from succeeding, and every attempt ends in failure.
He asks: If a person undertakes a lawful task but faces repeated failure, what guidance does Islam provide, as it is a complete code of life? Please explain a Sharʿi solution.
❖ Answer
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu wa-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ʿAmma Baʿd!
In such circumstances, where a person faces repeated failures without any unlawful cause, Islam teaches us to adopt spiritual remedies alongside physical efforts.
✿ Spiritual Remedies
➊ Recite the last three surahs after every obligatory prayer:
- Sūrat al-Ikhlāṣ
- Sūrat al-Falaq
- Sūrat al-Nās
These surahs are a shield of Allah’s protection against harm.
➋ Recite this duʿā frequently:
"اَعُوْذُ بِکَلِمَاتِ اﷲِ التَّامَّۃِ مِنْ کُلِّ شَیْطَانٍ وَّہَآمَّۃٍ وَمِنْ کُلِّ عَیْنٍ لاَمَّۃٍ"
(I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah from every devil, poisonous creature, and every harmful eye.)

❖ Conclusion
By maintaining these daily supplications and spiritual practices, in shā’ Allāh, the barriers of failure will be removed, divine protection will be granted, and success will follow.
