Sharʿi Ruling on Taking the Qur’an into the Bathroom

What is the Islamic ruling on taking the Qur’an into the bathroom?
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu wa-s-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ammā baʿd!
The scholars have stated that it is not permissible for a person to take the Qur’an into the bathroom. The reasons are:
❖ Respect and reverence for the Qur’an are obligatory.
❖ Taking it to a place where there is a possibility of disrespect is improper and against its sanctity.
❖ Bathrooms, being places of impurity and filth, are contrary to the dignity and honour of the Qur’an.
Conclusion:
ھٰذا ما عندي والله أعلم بالصواب
