❖ Question:

What is the ruling on those who facilitate a marriage during a woman’s ʿiddah (waiting period)?

✿ Answer:

Marriage during ʿiddah is not valid. Anyone who facilitates or participates in such a marriage knowingly is sinful, as it constitutes cooperation in sin.

❀ Quranic Verse:

﴿وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ﴾
(Surah al-Mā’idah, 5:2)

“Do not cooperate in sin and transgression.”

✅ Conclusion:

① A nikāḥ (marriage) conducted during the ʿiddah period is invalid.
② All those who willingly support or witness it are sinful.
③ It is a clear case of violating Islamic legal boundaries and constitutes assisting in sinful behavior.
