What is the Shari‘ah status of amulets? Some Ahl al-Hadith scholars consider them permissible, while others declare them impermissible.

The following points are noteworthy regarding the Shari‘ah status of amulets:


✅ Types of Amulets and Their Status:
◈ Whether an amulet is Qur’anic, Hadith-based, or non-Qur’anic and non-Hadith, none of these are proven from Rasulullah ﷺ.


◈ Any form of amulet that contains kufri (disbelief) or shirk-based material falls under the category of kufr and shirk.


Difference of Opinion:
◈ Some Ahl al-Hadith scholars consider such amulets permissible.
◈ Other Ahl al-Hadith scholars regard them as impermissible.
