Allah ﷻ has placed sexual desire within the human being. Though it may seem animalistic at first glance, it actually serves a specific and noble purpose. All divinely revealed religions have taught the regulation of this desire to ensure the stability of human civilization. Thus, in every civilized society, sexual relations without social responsibility are deemed undesirable.
The West, in contradiction to these natural principles, has sought to separate sexual pleasure from social responsibility. Human beings are naturally inclined toward pleasure; when ideological justifications are provided for this inclination, moral boundaries become increasingly difficult to maintain.
Western political systems support this behavior with power, but whenever that power weakens, their society will inevitably plunge deeper into chaos and disorder.
Despite the influence of the West on Muslim societies, little discussion takes place around these unnatural sexual tendencies. Most attention remains focused on the Islamic ruling regarding homosexuality, while in the West, these tendencies are being promoted as an ideology.
Muslims must address this issue from two important perspectives:
① Human Compassion – Though the Western society is on the brink of destruction due to sexual anarchy, we should not rejoice. Rather, as Muslims, we should strive for the betterment of humanity by undertaking intellectual and reformative efforts.
② Protecting Future Generations – In today’s globalized world, where media reigns, Western ideologies are swiftly infiltrating Muslim societies. It is essential that we educate our youth, strengthen their thinking, and shield them from such unnatural inclinations.
In the West, sexuality is portrayed as a choice—something entirely within a person’s control. A young person, upon reaching puberty, is encouraged to decide whether they are:
➊ Straight (Heterosexual)
➋ Homosexual (Gay/Lesbian)
➌ Bisexual (Attracted to both genders)
➍ Asexual (No sexual attraction to anyone)
➎ Bi-curious (Curious about same-sex experiences while identifying as straight)
➏ Transgender (Dissatisfied with their biological sex and seeking to transition)
This ideology has broken the binary concept of male and female, replacing it with an ever-expanding spectrum of sexual identities.
While the above tendencies are given legal recognition in the West, there are some extreme sexual behaviors that are still classified as psychological disorders:
➊ Pedophilia – Sexual attraction to children; criminalized even in the West.
➋ Zoophilia – Sexual acts with animals; illegal in some countries, yet still tolerated in others and generally considered immoral.
Western ideology promotes the idea that consensual acts between adults should not be objectionable.
Refutation: Not all consensual acts are morally acceptable. Bribery, dowry, and other social ills also occur with mutual agreement, yet they remain legally and ethically condemned.
It is argued that homosexuality has always existed throughout history, and religions unjustly banned it.
Refutation: The mere historical presence of something does not validate it. Many criminal and immoral practices have existed historically, yet remain condemned.
Some claim that since same-sex behavior is observed in animals, it must be natural.
Refutation: Animals also engage in violence, public mating, and cannibalism, yet we do not emulate such behaviors. Human morality is not shaped by animal instinct.
