Ahkam al-Janaiz by Shaykh al-Albani: p. 186
➊ This has been the consistent practice of Muslims since the time of the Prophet (ﷺ).
➋ Men are stronger and more capable of performing this task with calmness and stability.
➌ If women were to participate, there is a risk that parts of their bodies may become exposed in front of non-mahram men, which is not permissible.
✔ Key Point:
The responsibility of placing the deceased into the grave lies solely with men, irrespective of the gender of the deceased. This ruling ensures modesty, strength, and alignment with the Sunnah.
