Answer:
Satan is a liar.
It is narrated from Sayyidunā Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ appointed him as the guardian of the charity wealth. For two consecutive nights, someone would come and begin filling their hands with charity. On the third night, when this happened again, Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه said:
"I will surely take you to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
The intruder replied:
"Let me go, and I will teach you some words by which Allah will benefit you."
"What are those words?"
He replied:
When you go to bed, recite Āyah al-Kursī:
"Allah! There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursī extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation does not tire Him. And He is the Most High, the Most Great." [Al-Baqarah: 255]
He then said:
"A guardian from Allah will be appointed over you, and no devil will come near you until morning."
When the Prophet ﷺ heard this, he said:
"He spoke the truth, although he is a liar; that was Satan."
[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth No. 3101]
Thus, it becomes evident that Satan is indeed a liar.
