During the supplication between the two prostrations in prayer, is it established to raise the index finger?
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu wa-s-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ammā baʿd:
◈ The mention of raising the index finger (rafʿ al-sabbābah) between the two sujūd is found in a narration of Musnad Aḥmad.
◈ However, some researchers have declared this narration to be shādh (irregular/weak), and therefore not suitable as evidence.
