Narration from Ibn 'Abbas رضي الله عنهما:“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ combined the Zuhr and ‘Asr, and the Maghrib and ‘Isha prayers together in Madinah without any fear or rain.”
Ibn ‘Abbas was asked, “What was the reason for that?” He replied, “The Prophet ﷺ intended that his ummah should not face hardship.”

❷ The Shari'ah, as brought by the Prophet ﷺ, has considered the well-being and convenience of the ummah at every step. Combining prayers in certain situations—even without fear or excuse—offers ease to the believers, emphasizing that Islam is a religion free of unnecessary hardship.
❸ The Prophet ﷺ was known for treating the happiness, sadness, ease, and difficulty of his followers as his own concerns. When Ibn ‘Abbas was asked about the purpose behind the Prophet ﷺ combining prayers, he said: “He intended that his ummah should not suffer difficulty.”
❹ If there are adverse conditions like storm, rain, wind, darkness, or mud, then combining prayers is clearly permissible. Apart from such conditions, on rare occasions, even in peaceful times, combining prayers is allowed.
