◈ Ruling on Burying Muslims in Non-Muslim Graveyards ◈

It is not permissible to bury Muslims in the graveyards of disbelievers (kuffār). This practice is strongly discouraged in Islamic teachings.
Shaykh Ibn Bāz رحمه الله stated:
❝Such an act is absolutely impermissible. During the time of the Prophet ﷺ and the Rightly Guided Caliphs (Khulafā’ al-Rāshidīn), Muslims never buried their dead among the non-Muslims.❞

① Separation of Muslim and non-Muslim burial sites is part of maintaining Islamic identity and honoring the deceased believers.
② Mixing graves can lead to disrespect, confusion in religious rites, and deviation from the Sunnah.
③ Muslim graveyards are consecrated spaces, governed by Islamic rituals and practices.

◉ Muslims must be buried in designated Islamic cemeteries whenever possible.

✦ Scholarly Opinion
Shaykh Ibn Bāz رحمه الله stated:
