We ask Allah to rectify the affairs of the Muslims and grant rulers the ability to adhere to His Shari'ah and avoid actions contrary to it. Indeed, He is the best One to be asked for help. And Allah is the Granter of Success.

Question:
Is it permissible for a person to take their picture and send it to their family members on occasions such as Eid?Answer:
Several Ahadith of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ have been narrated prohibiting the making of pictures. Those who create pictures have been cursed, and various warnings have been issued against them. Therefore, it is not permissible for a Muslim to make pictures of themselves or any living being, except in cases of necessity or compulsion, such as for a passport or similar essential requirements. We ask Allah to rectify the affairs of the Muslims and grant rulers the ability to adhere to His Shari'ah and avoid actions contrary to it. Indeed, He is the best One to be asked for help. And Allah is the Granter of Success.
