This excerpt is taken from the book "Hujjat al-Hadith" by Fazilat al-Sheikh Ghulam Mustafa Zaheer Amanpuri .
Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him (728 AH), says:
The hadith was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in the same way that the Quran was revealed.

Allama Ibn Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him (751 AH), says:
Reference: (An-Nisa: 113)
Reference: (Al-Jumu'ah: 2)

Undoubtedly, Allah Almighty has revealed two types of revelation to His Prophet, and believing in both and acting upon both is obligatory. These two types of revelation are the Book and Wisdom. Allah Almighty says: [وَ اَنۡزَلَ اللّٰہُ عَلَیۡکَ الۡکِتٰبَ وَ الۡحِکۡمَۃَ] "Allah has sent down upon you the Book and Wisdom."
Reference: (An-Nisa: 113)
And He said: [ہُوَ الَّذِیۡ بَعَثَ فِی الۡاُمِّیّٖنَ رَسُوۡلًا مِّنۡہُمۡ یَتۡلُوۡا عَلَیۡہِمۡ اٰیٰتِہٖ وَ یُزَکِّیۡہِمۡ وَ یُعَلِّمُہُمُ الۡکِتٰبَ وَ الۡحِکۡمَۃَ] "It is He who has sent among the unlettered a Messenger from themselves, reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and Wisdom."
Reference: (Al-Jumu'ah: 2)
Also He said: [وَ اذۡکُرۡنَ مَا یُتۡلٰی فِیۡ بُیُوۡتِکُنَّ مِنۡ اٰیٰتِ اللّٰہِ وَ الۡحِکۡمَۃِ ؕ] "O wives of the Prophet! Remember the verses of Allah and Wisdom that are recited in your homes."
Reference: (Al-Ahzab: 34)
The consensus of the predecessors is that here the Book refers to the Quran and Wisdom refers to the Hadith. Whatever news the Messenger of Allah ﷺ conveys from Allah Almighty, it is obligatory to confirm it and believe in it, exactly as Allah Almighty has conveyed it through His Messenger. There is consensus among all Muslims on this matter, and only one who is not among the Muslims can deny it.

Muqadam bin Maadi Karb رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"Beware! I have been given the Quran and along with it, something similar has also been given to me."
Reference: Musnad Imam Ahmad: 131/4, Sunan Abi Dawood: 4604, and its chain is authentic
Hafiz Khattabi رحمه الله (388 AH) says:
Prophetic saying: "I have been given the Quran and with it its likeness." This can have two meanings. ① It means that the Holy Prophet ﷺ was given the revealed, recited revelation as well as the inner, non-recited revelation. ② It can also mean that the Holy Prophet ﷺ was given the recited revelation and its "explanation," meaning he ﷺ was permitted to clarify the rulings contained in the Quran, to specify what is general, to generalize what is specific, to state rulings beyond it, and to legislate what is not mentioned in the Quran. In this regard, the non-recited revelation also carries the obligation of command and it is necessary to act upon it, just as the revealed, recited revelation, i.e., the Quran, is obligatory and acting upon it is necessary.

Allama Shawkani, may Allah have mercy on him (1250 AH), says:
The meaning is that I have been given the Quran, and similarly, the Hadith has also been given which was not mentioned in the Quran.

The Holy Prophet ﷺ has declared both the Quran and Hadith as revelation in this Hadith.
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
Every prophet was given miracles and signs, by seeing which people believed. Indeed, I have been given revelation as a miracle; this revelation has been sent to me by Allah. I hope that on the Day of Judgment, my followers will be more than those of all other prophets.

It is established that Hadith, like the Quran, is also revelation and a miracle.
Sayyiduna Abu Imamah رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
By the intercession of one man, people from both the tribes of Rabi'ah and Mudhar will enter Paradise. A man asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is the relation of Rabi'ah to the tribe of Mudhar? He replied: (I do not know, I only say) what is conveyed to me (through revelation).

Hafiz Munadi (may Allah have mercy on him) said its chain is "good".
Reference: Al-Targhib wal-Tarhib: 241/4
Hafiz Ibn Hajar (may Allah have mercy on him) said its chain is "hasan" (good).

Hafiz Suyuti (may Allah have mercy on him) also said the chain is "hasan".

When according to the principles of the scholars of hadith, an authentic hadith is also revelation, and it confirms the revelation of the Holy Quran, then how can it be opposed to the Quran? It should be well remembered that revelation can never contradict or oppose revelation.
