What Is the Ruling on Calling the Adhān or Iqāmah for ʿĪd Prayer?

Is it permissible to call the Adhān (call to prayer) or Iqāmah (call to commence prayer) for the ʿĪd prayer?
It is not legislated (non-prescribed) in Islam to call either the Adhān or Iqāmah for the ʿĪd prayers.
Sayyidunā Jābir ibn Samurah رضي الله عنه reported:
“I offered the ʿĪd prayers with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ many times.
Neither the Adhān was given nor the Iqāmah.”
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim: 887)
Sayyidunā Jābir ibn ʿAbdullāh رضي الله عنهما narrated:
“I was present with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of ʿĪd.
He began the ʿĪd prayer before the sermon.
There was neither an Adhān nor an Iqāmah.”
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim: 885)
✔ No Adhān or Iqāmah should be given for ʿĪd al-Fiṭr or ʿĪd al-Aḍḥā prayers.
✔ The Prophet ﷺ and his Companions did not practice this.
✔ The ʿĪd prayer starts without any vocal announcements, only with the Imām commencing the prayer.
