This excerpt is taken from the Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi by Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili, whose Urdu translation has been done by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
① Sayyiduna Abu Musa رضي الله عنه narrates that the Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم was present when a man came and asked for something. The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم turned his blessed face towards us and said:
اشفعوا تؤجروا، ويقضي الله على لسان رسوله ما يشاء
“Intercede for those in need; you will receive reward for it, and Allah will decree through the tongue of His Prophet whatever He wills.”

② Sayyiduna Muawiyah رضي الله عنه narrates, “Intercede and you will receive reward. I want to do something but delay it so that you may intercede and receive reward. Because the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
اشفعوا تؤجروا
‘Intercede and you will receive reward.’”

① Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
إن الصدق يهدي إلى البر، وإن البر يهدي إلى الجنة، وإن الرجل ليصدق حتى يكتب عند الله صديقا، وإن الكذب يهدي إلى الفجور، وإن الفجور يهدي إلى النار، وإن الرجل ليكذب حتى يكتب عند الله كذابا
"Indeed, truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. A person continues to speak the truth until he is recorded with Allah as a truthful person. And lying leads to sin, and sin leads to Hellfire. A person continues to lie until he is recorded with Allah as a liar."

① Sayyiduna Abu Musa رضي الله عنه narrates, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا أحد أصبر على أذى سمعه من الله عز وجل، إنه ليشرك به ويجعل له الولد، ثم يعافيهم ويرزقهم
"The one who endures hardship patiently after hearing painful matters, there is none greater than him in the sight of Allah. They (the polytheists) say that Allah has offspring, yet despite these things, He still grants them safety and provision."

② An elderly companion of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم narrates, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
المسلم الذى يخالط الناس ويصبر على أذاهم خير من الذى لا يخالط الناس ولا يصبر على أذاهم
"The Muslim who lives among people and patiently endures the harm caused by them is better than the one who neither mingles with people nor endures their harm."

① Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
الرحم معلقة بالعرش تقول: من وصلني وصله الله، ومن قطعني قطعه الله
"Maintaining kinship is connected with the Throne. She says: Whoever keeps me united, Allah will keep him united, and whoever cuts me off, Allah will cut him off."

② Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
الرحم شجنة من الرحمن، فقال الله تعالى: من وصلك وصلته، ومن قطعك قطعته
"Kinship is part of the Mercy of the Most Merciful. Allah the Exalted said: Whoever keeps you united, I will keep him united, and whoever cuts you off, I will cut him off."

③ Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) also narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
من سره أن يبسط له فى رزقه وأن ينسأ له فى أثره فليصل رحمه
"Whoever likes that his provision be expanded and his life prolonged, let him treat his relatives well and maintain ties."

④ Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with both) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said:
ليس الواصل بالمكافئ، ولكن الواصل الذى إذا قطعت رحمه وصلها
"The one who maintains kinship is not the one who maintains kinship in return for kinship, but the one who maintains kinship is the one who, when cut off by others, still maintains it."
