This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi, which has been translated into Urdu by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
إن الذين يصورون هذه الصور يعذبون يوم القيامة يقال لهم: أحيوا ما خلقتم
"Those who make these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection; they will be told, 'Bring to life what you have created.'"

② Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما states, I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say:
كل مصور فى النار يجعل الله له بكل صورة صورها نفسا فيعذبه فى جهنم
"Every image maker is in Hell; Allah will give life to every picture he has made and punish it in Hell."

③ Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud رضي الله عنه states, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
إن أشد أهل النار يوم القيامة عذابا المصورون
"On the Day of Resurrection, the makers of pictures will be given the severest punishment in Hell."

① Sayyiduna Jabir رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم forbade keeping pictures in the house and doing such things.

② Abu Talhah Zaid bin Jahni Ansari رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا تدخل الملائكة بيتا فيه كلب ولا تصاوير
"The angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog and pictures."
And in one narration it is:
تماثيل
"In a house in which there are idols."

① Sayyiduna Abu Talhah Ansari رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا تدخل الملائكة بيتا فيه كلب ولا صورة
"The angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog and a picture."
And in one narration "statues" are mentioned.
And in one narration "pictures" are mentioned.

① Sayyiduna Ata bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was present in the mosque when a man came whose hair and beard were disheveled. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) gestured with his blessed hand, as if commanding him to tidy his hair and beard. So he tidied his hair and then came back to the presence of the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said:
أليس هٰذا خيرا من أن يأتى أحدكم ثائر الرأس كأنه شيطان
"Is it not better for one of you to bring disheveled hair as if it were Satan?"

② Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came to us and saw a man with disheveled hair, then said:
أما يجد هٰذا ما يسكن به شعره
"Is there no one who can arrange his hair?"
