✿ Timings of Salah (Prayer) ✿
◈ The Obligation of Prayer Timings in the Noble Qur’an
Allah Almighty says in the Noble Qur’an:
(إِنَّ الصَّلاَۃَ کَانَتْ عَلَی الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ کِتَاباً مَّوْقُوْتاً)
(An-Nisa: 103)
“Indeed, the prayer has been enjoined upon the believers at fixed times.”
✔ Explanation
From this blessed verse, it becomes clear that Salah is not only a mandatory act of worship, but it is also essential to perform it within its specified times.
The word "مَّوْقُوْتاً" means: “appointed or prescribed time.”
This indicates that adherence to the time for Salah is a necessary condition, and one of the core requirements of Islamic law (Shari’ah).
✔ Summary
Performing Salah at its prescribed time is a practical demonstration of a believer’s faith and obedience. Any delay in offering Salah or praying before its due time is against the commandments of Shari’ah.
