Weakening of Faith as a Result of Bribery

Bribery and other sins weaken faith, incur the wrath of the Lord, and enable Satan to overpower a person, leading him into further sins.
Therefore, it is the duty of every Muslim man and woman to avoid bribery and all kinds of sins. If possible, the bribe should be returned to the people. If that is not possible, then along with sincere repentance, an equivalent amount should be given in charity to the poor on behalf of the person from whom it was taken, in the hope that Allah Almighty may show mercy.
