① Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud Badri رضي الله عنه narrates, I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم when a man came to him and said:
O Messenger of Allah My mount has died and I cannot travel, so please arrange a mount for me. The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
ما عندي ما أحملك عليه
"I do not have anything with me to give you as a mount."
Then a man said: I will tell him about someone who will arrange a mount for him. The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
من دل على خير فله مثل أجر فاعله
"Whoever guides someone to a good deed will have a reward like that of the one who does it."

② Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه narrates, a man came to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم asking for a mount, but he found nothing with the Prophet to give him as a mount. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم told him about another person, so he gave him a mount. Then he (after taking the mount) came back to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and informed him, so the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
الدال على الخير كفاعله
"The one who guides to goodness is like the one who does it."
