Giving excess wealth to other brothers, donating milk-producing animals as charity, and the prohibition of counting charity

This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi, whose Urdu translation has been done by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.

Instructions for Giving Surplus Wealth to Other Brothers

① Sayyiduna Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates, we were on a journey when a man came on his mount and started circling around. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
من كان معه فضل ظهر فليعد به على من لا ظهر له ، و من كان له فضل زاد فليعد به على من لا زاد له فذكر من أصناف المال ما ذكر، حتي رأينا أنه لا حق لأحد منا فى فضل.
"Whoever has a surplus mount should give it to his brother who does not have a mount. Likewise, whoever has surplus provisions for the journey should give them to the person who does not have provisions. You mentioned many types of wealth to the extent that we thought none of us had any right to his surplus belongings."

Animals that Give Milk are to be Given as Sadaqah

① Sayyiduna Baraa رضي الله عنه narrates, I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say:
من منح منيحة لبن أو ورق أو أهدى زقاقا كان له مثل عتق رقبة
"Whoever gives a milk animal to someone for drinking milk, or (in cooperation) gives silver, or guides a lost, blind person on the way, will receive the reward equivalent to freeing a slave."

② Sayyiduna Abu Imamah رضي الله عنه narrates, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
أفضل الصدقات ظل فسطاط فى سبيل الله ، ومنحة خادم فى سبيل الله ، و طروقة فحل فى سبيل الله
"The best charity is to provide a tent in the way of Allah, to provide a servant in the way of Allah, and to provide a camel in the way of Allah."

Prohibition of Counting Charity

① It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to her:
أنفقي ولا تصحي فيحصي الله عليك ولا توعي فيوعي الله عليك
"Spend (in charity), do not hoard, otherwise Allah will also count you (among the hoarders), and do not keep your wealth tightly packed, otherwise Allah will withhold His mercy from you."
Reference: Bukhari, Book of Zakat 2591. Muslim, Book of Zakat 1029/88.

And in another narration, Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to me:
لا توكي فيوكي الله عليك
"Do not withhold your wealth, otherwise Allah will decree restriction and withholding for you."
Reference: Bukhari, Book of Zakat 1433.
