Instructions Regarding the Friday Bath
① Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates, I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say:
إذا أراد أحدكم أن يأتى الجمعة فليغتسل
"When any of you comes for Friday prayer, he should take a bath."

② Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates, I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say:
حق لله على كل مسلم أن يغتسل فى كل سبعة أيام يغسل رأسه وجسده
"It is obligatory upon every Muslim for the sake of Allah to take a bath every seven days, washing his head and body."

③ Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
غسل الجمعة واجب على كل مسلم
"The Friday bath is obligatory upon every Muslim."

Instructions Regarding Maintaining Silence on Friday
① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
من اغتسل ثم أتى الجمعة فصلى ما قدر له ثم أنصت حتى يفرغ الإمام من خطبته ثم يصلي معه غفر له ما بينه وبين الجمعة الأخرى وفضل ثلاثة أيام
"Whoever performs ghusl and comes for Jumu'ah, then prays nawafil according to his ability, then remains silent until the Imam finishes his khutbah, and then prays with him, his sins between that Jumu'ah and the next Jumu'ah and three more days will be forgiven."

② It is narrated from Sayyiduna Nafi' رحمه الله that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما saw two men talking during the Imam's khutbah on the day of Jumu'ah, so he threw pebbles at them to make them silent.

Instructions Regarding the Sunnahs of Jumu'ah
① Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
إذا صلى أحدكم الجمعة فليصل بعدها أربعا
"When any one of you prays Jumu'ah, he should then pray four rak'ahs after it."

② It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم did not pray after Jumu'ah, until he would leave from there and pray two rak'ahs in his house.

Instructions Regarding the Jumu'ah Prayer
① Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
من توضأ فأحسن الوضوء ثم أتى الجمعة فاستمع وأنصت غفر له ما بينه وبين الجمعة وزيادة ثلاثة أيام ومن مس الحصى فقد لغا
"Whoever performs wudu properly, then comes for Jumu'ah and listens attentively and silently to the Khutbah, his sins from one Jumu'ah to the next and for three more days are forgiven. And whoever plays with pebbles during the Khutbah has engaged in idle activity."

② Sayyiduna Tariq bin Shahab رضي الله عنه narrates that the Noble Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
الجمعة حق واجب على كل مسلم إلا أربعة: عبد مملوك أو امرأة أو مسافر أو مريض
"Except for four types of people: a slave, a woman, a traveler, or a sick person, Jumu'ah is an obligatory right upon every Muslim."

③ Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr رضي الله عنهما narrates from the Noble Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, who said:
الجمعة على كل من سمع النداء
"Jumu'ah is obligatory upon every person who hears the Adhan."
