This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mosuli's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi, which was translated into Urdu by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
① Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that a man came to the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and asked: O Messenger of Allah! How much should I forgive my servant? He (peace be upon him) said:
اعف عنه كل يوم سبعين مرة
"Forgive him seventy times every day."

① Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Saeed رضي الله عنه that the Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
إياكم والجلوس فى الطرقات
"Avoid sitting in the pathways."
The Companions رضي الله عنہم said: O Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! We are compelled to do so; those are the places where we sit and talk. Then the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
فإذا أبيتم إلا الجلوس فأعطوا الطريق حقه
"Well, if there is such a compulsion, then fulfill the rights of the pathway."
The Companions رضي الله عنہم asked: O Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! What are the rights of the pathway? He صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
غض البصر وكف الأذى ورد السلام والأمر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر
"Lowering the gaze, not causing harm, returning greetings, enjoining good, and forbidding evil."

① Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
المؤمن غر كريم والفاجر خب لئيم
"A believer is simple and noble, while a wicked person is deceitful and despicable."

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
المسلم أخو المسلم لا يظلمه ولا يسلمه، من كان فى حاجة أخيه كان الله فى حاجته، ومن فرج عن مسلم كربة من كرب الدنيا نفس الله عنه كربة من كرب يوم القيامة، ومن يسر على معسر يسر الله عليه فى الدنيا والآخرة، ومن ستر مسلما ستره الله يوم القيامة
"A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim; he neither oppresses him nor hands him over to oppression. Whoever is busy fulfilling the needs of his brother, Allah will be busy fulfilling his needs. And whoever relieves a Muslim of some worldly distress, Allah will relieve him of some distress on the Day of Judgment. Whoever provides ease to one in hardship, Allah will provide ease to him in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults on the Day of Judgment."
