In today's age, the business of counterfeit amulets and unfounded rituals has reached its peak. Turn to any channel, and you will find individuals ignorant of the true teachings of Islam suggesting such religious quick-fixes in response to telephone calls:
A 'Madani sister' asked for a ritual to increase sustenance, so here is a presented ritual:"After every prayer, recite 'Ya Razzaq' along with Durood Shareef at the beginning and end, and, Insha'Allah, there will be an abundance in sustenance."
This is just one example. In reality, daily life issues such as obstacles in marriage, averting calamities, seeking offspring, or fulfilling any particular desire are commonly addressed with such unfounded rituals, which have no basis in the Qur'an, Sunnah, or even during the eras of the Sahabah, Tabi'in, and Salaf.
Example
If you study the Qur'an and Hadith, you will find solutions to every problem including the expansion of sustenance, acquiring children, and protection from troubles. For example, for the expansion of sustenance, the teachings of the Book and Sunnah include:
من أحب أن يبسط له فى رزقه، وينسأ له فى أثره، فليصل رحمه
[Reported by Bukhari 5986 and Muslim 2557]Translation: "He who wishes his sustenance to be increased and his life to be extended should maintain the ties of kinship."
Hazrat Mus'ab bin Saad narrates that his father, Saad, noticed he had an advantage over others, so he asked the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who said, "You are provided sustenance and helped by means of the weak among you."
[ Bukhari, Book of Jihad and Siyar: 179/14,108]
Similarly, the Qur'an repeatedly mentions that repentance and seeking forgiveness can lead to blessings in sustenance and increase in wealth, as stated by Prophet Noah:
(فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا، يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا، وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَارًا)
[ Surah Nuh, Verses: 10-12]
This serves as a reminder that authentic Islamic teachings provide the real solutions to our worldly and spiritual needs, unlike the unfounded rituals and amulets popularized by contemporary media.
Translation:
"I told them (his people) to seek forgiveness from your Lord; indeed, He is the Forgiver. He will send rain in abundance for you, enrich you with wealth and children, create gardens for you, and make rivers flow for you."
This highlights that according to the teachings of the Qur'an and Sunnah, if one desires expansion in their sustenance, they should behave kindly with their relatives, assist the weak and needy, and continually seek forgiveness in every situation.
Unfortunately!
Because practicing the commandments listed in the Qur'an and Sunnah regarding the expansion of sustenance is difficult and reciting counterfeit rituals 111 times is seen as an easier practice, a vast majority of the public has abandoned the authentic and pure religion in favor of a falsified religion invented by the ignorant.
Was the religion left by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) incomplete that people felt the need to invent their own laws? Is there no fear of God left in this so-called religious group that they are busy engaging people in a misguided religion of their own creation, diverting them from the teachings of the Qur'an and Sunnah?
