The Ruling on Wudū’ Breaking: When Blood Flows from the Gums or Other Parts of the Body
Source: Fatāwā Shaykh al-Ḥadīth Mubārakpūrī, Vol. 1, Pg. 183
❖ Question
Does wudū’ break if blood flows from the gums or from any part of the body other than the outlets of urine and stool?
❖ Answer
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu was-salāmu ‘alā Rasūlillāh, ammā ba‘d!
❀ If blood comes out from the gums or from any part of the body other than the outlets of urine and stool, whether the amount is small or large, it does not invalidate wudū’.
❀ In such a condition, offering Ṣalāh is Shar‘īly valid, and there is no objection or karāhah in it.
❖ Evidence
❀ There is no authentic or reliable ḥadīth proving that if blood or vomit comes out from any part of the body other than the outlets of urine and stool (including the front private part of a woman), whether little or much, it invalidates wudū’.
