Does Smoking Invalidate Wudu or Is Mouth Rinsing Sufficient?

❀ Question:​


I smoke, but when I hear the mu’adhdhin’s call, I enter the mosque. Do I need to perform wudu again, or is rinsing the mouth sufficient?


❀ Answer:​


Smoking is harmful to health, causes many deadly diseases, and is therefore haram. It has numerous harms, and its foul odor is a source of discomfort for Muslims.


As for the given case: smoking does not break wudu; rinsing the mouth is sufficient.
