Disposing of the Property of Individuals Residing in Dar-ul-Aman

Author: Dr. Muhammad Zia-ur-Rehman Azmi (رحمه الله)

The allowance or stipend given to individuals residing in Dar-ul-Aman is considered their property. Therefore, it is not permissible to dispose of it without their consent. If any of the residents are mentally incapable, Dar-ul-Aman will take responsibility for their expenses, and any surplus funds will be preserved for them. In the event of their death, any property left behind will be considered their inheritance and will be distributed among their legal heirs according to the Islamic law of inheritance. If the heirs are unknown, the property will be deposited in the state treasury (Bait-ul-Mal).
