This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mosuli's Arabic book Al-Awamir wal-Nawahi, which has been translated into Urdu by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
① Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah رضي الله عنه narrates from his father that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
ألا أنبئكم بأكبر الكبائر؟
"Shall I not inform you of the major sins?"
We said: O Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! Yes, please inform us. He صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
الإشراك بالله، وعقوق الوالدين.
"Associating partners with Allah and disobedience to parents."
The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم was leaning when he suddenly sat up and said:
ألا وقول الزور، ألا وشهادة الزور.
"Listen! And false speech, listen! And false testimony."
The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم repeated this so much that we said, "We wish you would stop."

② Sayyiduna Amr ibn Aas رضي الله عنه narrates from the Noble Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم that he said:
الكبائر: الإشراك بالله، وعقوق الوالدين، وقتل النفس، واليمين الغموس.
"Associating partners with Allah, disobedience to parents, (unjust) killing, and taking a false oath are major sins."

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
يا ابن آدم، إنك أن تبذل الفضل خير لك وأن تمسكه شر لك، ولا تلام على كفاف، وابدأ بمن تعول، واليد العليا خير من اليد السفلى.
"O son of Adam! If you spend excessively, it will be better for you, and if you withhold it, it will be bad for you. There is no blame on you for sufficient things, and start spending on those under your care, and the upper hand is better than the lower hand."

① Sayyiduna Abu Musa رضي الله عنه reports that when the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم would send any of his noble companions رضي الله عنهم on some matters, he would say:
بشروا ولا تنفروا ويسروا ولا تعسروا.
"Give glad tidings, do not cause hatred, make things easy, do not create hardship."

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
ما نقصت صدقة من مال، وما زاد الله عبدا بعفو إلا عزا، وما تواضع أحد لله إلا رفعه الله.
"Charity does not decrease wealth. Forgiveness increases a person's honor with Allah, and whoever humbles himself for the sake of Allah, Allah elevates him."

② Sayyiduna Iyad bin Hammad (RA) reports that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
إن الله أوحى إلى أن تواضعوا حتى لا يفخر أحد على أحد ولا يبغي أحد على أحد.
"Allah has revealed to me that you should be humble so that no one boasts over another and no one shows arrogance over another."
