Question
You had promised to provide examples; kindly fulfill that promise.
Ibn Abī Ziyād narrates with the words “ثُمَّ لَمْ یَعُدْ”, but Hushaym, Khālid, and a third narrator (whose name I do not currently recall) do not mention these words. Please provide the references (book, page, chapter, etc.) where these narrations appear, showing that they differ from Ibn Abī Ziyād.
It is also said that apart from Sufyān al-Thawrī, a group narrates from Ibn Masʿūd (RA), but they do not report the words “ثُمَّ لَمْ یَعُدْ”. Kindly provide the names of this group and references for their reports—indicating in which books they appear. I already know of Ibn Idrīs’s narration, but please mention the others as well.
Answer
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu was-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ammā baʿd!
(1) First and Second Example
◄ One example has already been cited. A second example is found in al-Silsilah al-Aḥādīth al-Ṣaḥīḥah (5/243):
ثم إن الحدیث نقل الشوکانی عن الترمذی أنہ قال بعد إخراجہ : ہذا حدیث حسن لیس إسنادہ بذاک ۔ ولیس فی نسختنا منہ ہذا : لیس إسنادہ بذاک ۔ واﷲ اعلم ثم رأیتہا فی نسخة بولاق من السنن (151/2) (257/1).
(2) Statement of Abū Dāwūd and Differences among Narrators
◄ Abū Dāwūd writes:

(3) References from Tuḥfat al-Aḥwadhī and Naṣb al-Rāyah
◄ Tuḥfat al-Aḥwadhī (1/220) states:
Ḥāfiẓ al-Zaylaʿī in Naṣb al-Rāyah reported: Ibn Abī Ḥātim said in al-ʿIlal:
I asked my father about the ḥadīth narrated by Sufyān al-Thawrī, from ʿĀṣim b. Kulayb, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. al-Aswad, from ʿAlqamah, from ʿAbdullāh (Ibn Masʿūd RA):
“The Prophet ﷺ stood, said takbīr, raised his hands, then did not repeat it.”
My father said: This is a mistake. It is said that al-Thawrī erred in this. A group narrated from ʿĀṣim, and all of them said: “The Prophet ﷺ began the prayer by raising his hands, then when he bowed, he performed ṭabq (placing the hands between the knees).” None of them reported what al-Thawrī narrated. (Naṣb al-Rāyah)
◄ Among this group, I already know the name of Ibn Idrīs and his narration. The rest of the group’s names and narrations I do not currently recall.
