This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi, which has been translated into Urdu by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
① Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
قال الله عز وجل: يسب بنو آدم الدهر وأنا الدهر، بيدي الليل والنهار
"Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says: The son of Adam curses time while I am time; in My Hand are the night and the day."

It was the custom of the Arabs to blame and curse time when calamities befell them, because they believed that all these calamities were due to time. So Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, said: I am time, the one who causes these calamities to befall you; I am the doer of all that you attribute to time according to your assumption.
② Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates: None of you should say that time is at fault or defective, for Allah alone is time.

① Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
من مات يشرك بالله شيئا دخل النار، ومن مات لا يشرك بالله شيئا دخل الجنة
"Whoever dies associating partners with Allah (holding a polytheistic belief) will enter Hell, and whoever dies without associating partners with Allah will enter Paradise."

② Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
من لقي الله عز وجل لا يشرك به شيئا دخل الجنة، ومن لقيه يشرك به دخل النار
"Whoever meets Allah Almighty in a state of not associating any partners with Him will enter Paradise. And whoever meets Him in a state of associating partners with Him will enter Hell."

① Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates, I heard the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم say:
قال الله تعالى: أنا أغنى الشركاء عن الشرك، من عمل عملا أشرك فيه معي غيري تركته وشركه
"Allah Almighty said: I am free from the partners that the polytheists associate with Me. Whoever does any deed and associates others with Me in it, I leave him and his association."

① Sayyiduna Zaid bin Khalid رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم led the morning prayer one day at Hudaybiyyah after it had rained during the night. When he صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم finished, he turned to the people and said:
هل تدرون ما قال ربكم؟
"Do you know what your Lord has said?"
They replied: Allah and His Messenger صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم know best. He صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
قال الله: أصبح من عبادي مؤمن بي وكافر، فأما من قال: مطرنا بفضل الله ورحمته فذلك مؤمن بي وكافر بالكواكب، وأما من قال: مطرنا بنوء كذا وكذا فذلك كافر بي ومؤمن بالكواكب
"Allah has said: Among My servants, some have believed and some have disbelieved in Me. As for those who said that the rain has come upon us by the grace and mercy of Allah, then that servant of Mine is a believer and a denier of the stars. And as for the person who said that the rain has come because of such and such stars, then he is a denier of Me and a believer in the stars."
