Qur’ānic Basis

Allah ﷻ commands dhikr after prayer:

(Sūrat al-Nisāʾ: 103)
“When you have finished the prayer, remember Allah — standing, sitting, and lying on your sides.”

The Prophet ﷺ explained this general instruction through his practice, and the following adhkār are authentically reported:

1. Seeking Forgiveness Three Times

I seek Allah’s forgiveness.” (3 times)
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, 591)

2. Supplication of Peace and Blessing

“O Allah, You are Peace, from You comes peace. Blessed are You, O Possessor of majesty and honour.”
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, 591)

3. Comprehensive Words of Tawḥīd

(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, 844; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, 593)

4. Extended Formula of Dhikr

(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, 594)
