❀ The Issue of ʿUmrah by ʿAbd al-Raḥmān (رضي الله عنه) and Its Clarification ❀
Dr. Faḍl Ilāhī Sahib has mentioned in his lectures about three times that when Umm al-Mu’minīn ʿĀ’ishah (رضي الله عنها) performed ʿUmrah later due to her menstrual condition, her brother ʿAbd al-Raḥmān (رضي الله عنه) did not perform ʿUmrah.
However, I have one of your recorded cassettes in which you mentioned that ʿAbd al-Raḥmān (رضي الله عنه) did perform ʿUmrah. When I asked Dr. Sahib about this, he asked me to produce the cassette, but since I have multiple cassettes, I could not locate the specific one.
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu wa-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ammā baʿd!

If this is the case, then it is necessary for you to produce that cassette which contains this statement. Simply saying that you have multiple cassettes and could not find the required one is not an acceptable excuse. Kindly make the effort to search and present the relevant cassette.
As far as my recollection is concerned, I do not recall ever having stated — in any lecture or writing — that ʿAbd al-Raḥmān (رضي الله عنه) himself performed ʿUmrah.
Yes, what has been repeatedly mentioned in the lessons of Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī is that:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed Umm al-Mu’minīn ʿĀ’ishah al-Ṣiddīqah (رضي الله عنها)’s brother ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Bakr (رضي الله عنهما) to take her to Tanʿīm so that she could perform ʿUmrah. Accordingly, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān (رضي الله عنه) escorted her to Tanʿīm and she performed ʿUmrah.
ھٰذَا مَا عِندِی وَاللّٰہُ أَعْلَمُ بِالصَّوَابِ
