If the imam changes his place during the ʿĪd sermon and delivers a very lengthy khutbah that leads people to become weary and disengaged, is such an action permissible?❖ Answer
✔ Changing the place during the ʿĪd sermon is not impermissible — there is no harm in it from a Sharʿī perspective.✘ However, making the sermon excessively long to the point that people become tired or disinterested is discouraged and undesirable.
