Can the sacrifice be slaughtered at night?

This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Farooq Rafi Sahib's book Qurbani, Aqiqah, and Ashra Zil-Hijjah.

The Ruling on Slaughtering During the Nights of Qurbani

There is a difference of opinion among scholars regarding whether it is permissible, disliked, or prohibited to slaughter animals during the nights of Qurbani. Accordingly, the position of Abu Hanifa, Shafi'i, Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Ishaq ibn Rahwayh, Abu Thawr, and the majority of scholars, may Allah have mercy on them, is that slaughtering sacrifices during the nights of Qurbani is permissible though disliked. Imam Malik, the companions of Malik, and Ahmad, may Allah have mercy on them, have stated that slaughtering animals during the nights of Qurbani is not permissible, and an animal slaughtered at night is considered ordinary meat (not sufficient for Qurbani).

Preferred Position:

The prevailing view is that except for the night of the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah, it is permissible to offer sacrifice on the nights of sacrifice, because the term "day" includes the night in general, and it is not correct to exclude the night from the day without specification.
Qadi Shawkani, may Allah have mercy on him, states that the claim of prohibition and dislike of sacrificing on the nights of sacrifice requires evidence (and since no evidence for prohibition or dislike is established, therefore it is permissible to slaughter sacrifice on the nights of sacrifice). Although the mention of the days of sacrifice in the hadith of the chapter apparently excludes the nights of those days from the days, the correct interpretation of "days" is that it includes both day and night.

Also, the following hadiths regarding the prohibition of sacrificing at night are weak:
① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both:
أن النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم نهى أن يضحى ليلا
"Indeed, the Prophet, peace be upon him, forbade sacrificing at night."
Reference: Weak: Tabarani Kabir: 11296 - Daif al-Jami' al-Saghir: 6017 - Sulayman ibn Muslimah Khubayri is abandoned.

② Hasan al-Basri, may Allah have mercy on him, states:
نهى عن جداد الليل، وحصاد الليل، والأضحى بالليل
"The Prophet, peace be upon him, forbade harvesting crops at night and sacrificing at night."
