This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mosuli's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi, whose Urdu translation has been done by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
① Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا تسموا العنب الكرم، فإن الكرم المسلم
"Do not call grapes 'Karam' because Karam is a Muslim."

① Narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
إن من أحبكم إلى وأقربكم مني مجلسا يوم القيامة أحسنكم أخلاقا، وإن أبغضكم إلى وأبعدكم مني مجلسا يوم القيامة الثرثارون والمتشدقون والمتفيهقون
"On the Day of Resurrection, the person among you who is closest to me and most beloved to me is the one with the best character among you, and the one I dislike the most and who will be farthest from me on the Day of Resurrection are those who talk excessively, speak with open mouths, and are arrogant."

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Shuraih Adawi رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
الضيافة ثلاثة أيام وجائزته يوم وليلة، وما أنفق عليه بعد ذلك فهو صدقة، ولا يحل له أن يثوي عنده حتى يحرجه
"Hospitality lasts for three days, and according to its etiquette, the guest stays for one day and night, and after that, whatever is spent on him is considered charity. It is not permissible for the guest to stay so long that he causes hardship."

① Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:
إياكم والحسد فإن الحسد يأكل الحسنات كما تأكل النار الحطب أو قال: العشب
"Beware of envy, for envy consumes good deeds just as fire consumes wood or grass."

② Narrated by Sayyiduna Zubair (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
دب إليكم داء الأمم قبلكم الحسد والبغضاء، وهى الحالقة، أما إني لا أقول تحلق الشعر ولكن تحلق الدين، والذي نفسي بيده لا تدخلون الجنة حتى تؤمنوا، ولا تؤمنوا حتى تحابوا، ألا أدلكم على ما تحابون به؟ أفشوا السلام
"The diseases of previous nations have spread among you: envy and hatred, and it is like shaving, and I do not mean shaving the hair but it destroys the religion. By the One in Whose hand is my soul! You will not enter Paradise until you become believers, and you will not become believers until you love one another. Shall I tell you about something that will cause you to love one another? Increase greetings among yourselves."

③ Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
لا يجتمعان فى قلب عبد الإيمان والحسد
"Faith and envy cannot coexist in the heart of a servant."
