Question:
Is it permissible for the bride and groom to appear together in front of women during wedding celebrations?
Answer:
It is not permissible for the bride and groom to appear together in public gatherings like this. Such behavior reflects indecency and is an imitation of immoral people. Traditionally, a bride feels shy to appear before the general public. How, then, can she walk hand in hand with the groom and present herself in front of a crowd? This practice contradicts modesty and the Islamic values of decorum and humility.
