✿ Statements of the Scholars
❀ ʿAllāmah al-Qurṭubī رحمه الله (d. 671H) said:
كرامات الأولياء ثابتة، على ما دلت عليه الأخبار الثابتة، والآيات المتواترة ولا ينكرها إلا المبتدع الجاحد، أو الفاسق الحائد.
“The karāmāt of the Awliyāʾ are established, proven by authentic reports and recurrent Qur’anic verses. None denies them except an innovator, a denier, or a misguided sinner.”
(Tafsīr al-Qurṭubī: 11/28)
❀ Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Kathīr رحمه الله (d. 774H) said:
كرامة الولي معجزة لنبيه.
“The karāmah of a walī is in reality a miracle for his Prophet.”
(al-Bidāyah wa al-Nihāyah: 9/254)

The karāmāt of the Awliyāʾ are a reality, acknowledged by the Qur’an, Sunnah, and the consensus of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jamāʿah. They are a sign of Allah’s honor for His close servants and, ultimately, a miracle that affirms the truthfulness of the Prophet they follow.
