Bathing While in the State of Ihram is Permissible

It is permissible for a person in the state of Ihram to take a bath.


This is established from the narration of Hazrat Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari رضي الله عنه:


He demonstrated bathing in the manner of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while in the state of Ihram.

  • Bathing is allowed in Ihram, whether due to heat, cleanliness, or ritual purification.
  • One must avoid using scented soaps, shampoos, or any perfumed substances.
