Assisting a Zaniyah: Is the Helper Also Sinful in Islam?

❖ Question:​


Will a person who assists a zāniyah (fornicating woman) be considered sinful?


✿ Answer:​


Undoubtedly, he will be sinful.


✦ Qur’anic Evidence:​


وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ
📖 Sūrah al-Mā’idah: 2


Translation:



"And do not assist one another in sin and transgression."


✅ Summary:​


Assisting in sin—whether directly or indirectly—is prohibited in Islam.
➤ One who supports or facilitates fornication (zinā) or any sinful act is clearly sinful, as per the explicit command of the Qur’ān.
➤ Such cooperation falls under the category of collaboration in evil, which is strictly forbidden.
