Is Sayyiduna Ali Radi Allahu Anhu the Seal of the Saints?
It is not proven that the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ called Sayyidina Ali رضي الله عنه the Seal of the Saints or the Seal of the Successors.
It is attributed to Sayyidina Abu Dharr Ghifari رضي الله عنه that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say:
أنا خاتم النبيين ، كذلك على وذريته يختمون الأوصياء إلى يوم القيامة .
"I am the Seal of the Prophets, and likewise, Ali رضي الله عنه and his progeny are the Seal of the Successors until the Day of Judgment."

This is a fabricated and false narration.
➊ Hasan bin Muhammad bin Yahya Alawi is a "liar."
Hafiz Al-Dhahabi رحمه الله declared him "accused."

Hafiz Al-Dhahabi رحمه الله says:
هذان دالان على كذبه وعلى رفضه .
"These two narrations indicate his lying and Rafidhi tendencies."

➋ Ibrahim bin Abdullah bin Hammam San'ani is a liar and fabricator.
Imam Al-Daraqutni رحمه الله says:
كذاب يضع الحديث
"He was a liar and used to fabricate hadiths."

Imam Ibn Adi رحمه الله called him "denier of hadith."

Imam Ibn Hibban رحمه الله says:
يروي عن عبد الرزاق المقلوبات الكثيرة التى لا يجوز الاحتجاج لمن يرويها لكثرتها .
"He frequently narrates such contradictory reports from Imam Abdul Razzaq رحمه الله that it is not permissible to rely upon them as proof."

called it fabricated. Hafiz Al-Suyuti رحمه الله says:
موضوع العلوي منكر الحديث رافضي وإبراهيم متروك .
"This is fabricated; in it, Hasan bin Muhammad bin Yahya Alawi is a 'denier of hadith' and Rafidhi, and Ibrahim bin Abdullah bin Hammam San'ani is 'abandoned'."

It is attributed to Sayyidina Anas bin Malik رضي الله عنه that he heard the Holy Prophet ﷺ say:
أنا خاتم الأنبياء، وأنت يا على خاتم الأولياء .
"O Ali رضي الله عنه! I am the Seal of the Prophets and you are the Seal of the Saints."

This is a fabricated narration.
Hafiz Al-Khatib Al-Baghdadi رحمه الله says:
هذا الحديث موضوع من عمل القصاص ، وضعه عمر بن واصل، أو وضع عليه، والله أعلم .
"This hadith is a fabrication of storytellers. It was fabricated by Umar bin Wasil himself or fabricated upon him, and Allah knows best!"
Hafiz Ibn al-Jawzi رحمه الله mentioned it

◈ Hasan Basri رحمه الله is known for many fabrications; the chain of narration is not clarified.
It is attributed to Sayyidina Ali رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him:
أنت خاتم الأولياء كما أنا خاتم النبيين .
"You are the Seal of the Saints, just as I am the Seal of the Prophets."
This is a lie; it has no basis. It is a fabrication of our time.
