Allah's Pride in Those Waiting for Prayer

(Taken from: Monthly al-Hadith, Hazro)

Narration:
ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr (رضي الله عنه) reported:
We performed Maghrib prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Some people left after the prayer, while others stayed behind. Suddenly, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came in haste, his breath labored, and he had gathered his garment above his knees. He then said:

“Rejoice! Your Lord has opened a door from the doors of the heavens and is proudly mentioning you before the angels, saying: ‘Look at My servants who have completed one obligatory prayer and are waiting for another.’”

(Sunan Ibn Mājah: 801; its chain of narration is authentic.)
