Who is the creator of actions?
❀ Answer:
Allah ﷻ is the Creator of everything. He alone is the Creator of people and their actions and deeds. People are merely earners of these actions. This is the unanimous and agreed-upon belief of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama‘ah. Numerous Qur’anic and Hadith texts testify to this fact.
❀ Allamah Kalabazi Hanafi رحمه الله (d. 380H) stated:
أجمعوا أن الله تعالى خالق لأفعال العباد كلها، كما أنه خالق لإعيانهم، وأن كل ما يفعلونه من خير وشر فبقضاء الله وقدره وإرادته ومشيئته
“There is consensus that Allah ﷻ is the Creator of all the actions of His servants, just as He is the Creator of their bodies. It is also agreed that whatever good or evil they do is under Allah’s decree, power, will, and wish.”
