◈ Acceptance of Islam by a Captive Does Not Necessitate His Release ◈

❀ A disbelieving captive accepting Islam does not make his release obligatory. Rather, he shall remain in captivity.

❀ It is permissible for the ruling authority to refrain from accepting the Islam of such a person if it is suspected that he has no genuine inclination towards Islam and is merely doing so out of necessity.

❀ If it is impossible to carry weapons or other equipment out of enemy territory, then they should either be concealed or destroyed.
